Introduction

Hi, I’m Brett. I’m 43 and I was diagnosed in November 2023 with a super-rare, high grade, form of #cancer, which is growing out of my chest.

Since then, I’ve had radiotherapy to try to shrink my ‘lump’ before I have surgery in March 2024, to (hopefully!) remove it entirely.

I wanted to create this account to not only ‘share my journey’ but to also show some of the cancer-related things that I literally had no idea/care about before, but have had to find out about first-hand; things that I might have chosen to ignore in my typical head-in-the-clouds approach to life.

Otherwise, I’m a husband, father to two boys and have worked in the world of software design and development for over twenty years.
